Faux by Joyce
... decorative and faux painting throughout the glorious state of Florida
This project involved some enhancements to a beautifully furnished, exquisitely accessorized, stately home in Palm Bay, Florida. All was well, except that all the walls were White! Our clients, Ruby and Gervase, wanted to add some color to the walls, mostly in Ruby's favorite theme -- flowers.
The first and largest part of the project was the regal, layered archway that greets you as you enter the front door. The first picture below shows the before and the two others the after. Joyce added a vine of pink morning glories, winding up the left side, across the top, and partway down the right side.

The next additions included some Butterflies and a Humming Bird (shown below left), then a potful of posies was added on the right side, with more Butterflies.
A bouquet of Roses was added over the bedroom door, shown below at a distance and close-up. Below that, the little flowers invented by the artist were inserted over the mirrors in the living room, also shown at a distance and close-up.
The project was completed with a single Rose next to the front door, shown below in a distant and close-up photograph.
